Every 3 years the World’s Number No.1 Retail Trade Fair, EuroShop, takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany. With over 30 years of experience as an exhibit design and fabrication house, we’ve seen our fair share - but this international event takes the cake. Some quick EuroShop 2020 facts:
This year conversations focused on themes of sustainability, retail digitization, eCommerce and the customer experiences. Global brands we able to physically connect with international partners, clients and prospects to share their product innovations, integrations and solutions. Custom designed spaces and exhibit booths were pivotal in immersing visitors into memorable brand experiences and live the interplay of technologies. With its industry presence, EuroShop is the perfect setting for brands to test designs, identifying the functional strengths and areas to develop.
As members of the International Federation of Event and Exhibit Services (IFES), accordex had access to IFES Global Village. A central footprint tailored to the IFES community; offering food and refreshments, meeting areas for appointments and a well curated event program to connect members. The official sponsors lined the hub showcasing their vibrant designs creating visibility for the village. Among the IFES sponsors, EXIBITOR magazine, an award-winning print and online magazine featuring best practices for trade show marketing, launched the EuroShop Awards, the first stand-design competition officially endorsed by EuroShop organizers. “The caliber of these stands was off the charts,” said Travis Stanton, editor of EXHIBITOR magazine. “Given the global reach of this show, these winners are akin to Olympic medalists in experiential design.” The competition was judged by an international panel of esteemed marketing and design experts with 10 finalists in each category.
Our accordex team on the ground also selected their top favorite designs which did share some overlap with the award-winners. Here are some that stood out to us with honorable mention to all the exhibitors for raising the bar in our industry and making EuroShop 2020 an incredibly stimulating experience for all.
