Meet the client

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a US research-based biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative medicines.

The mandate

To build a 33’ x 66’ booth for the 24 th International Aids Conference at Montreal’s Palais des congrès, on July 27-28,2022, to promote their brand, as well as provide a stage for the presentation of their products and lecturers.

The booth design, provided by Leo Associates Inc., is for a 33’ x 66’ booth, with LED walls, a full metal structure, plexiglass elements, a stage and backdrop, as well as various technical needs such as touch screens,TVs, and a 2 giants LED walls.

Challenges

Due to the global pandemic, large events are still at risk of being cancelled due to potential new waves of the virus. For this reason, companies are in a difficult position of not being able to commit to the fabrication of a booth until short notice.

In addition to short delays, the pandemic has also contributed to a wide spread labour and supply shortage which compounds the difficulties of building such a large booth in a short time frame.

And finally, with the start of the show corresponding to Montreal’s ‘Construction Holiday’ (a two-week period between the end of July and early August when most people are on vacation), coordinating labour and transportation was yet another complex piece of the puzzle.

Solutions

Our teams at accordex are extremely knowledgeable in the industry. We were able to pool together our resources and reach out to our vast network of contacts to get the supplies and labour needed to pull this project off in such a short time.
